- We don't collect any information, from children or from parents.
- The camera picture never leaves the phone. Nothing is recorded or saved.
- No ads, no tracking, no analytics, no third-party code, and the app doesn't use the internet.
This policy covers the Mirrimoo app for iPhone and Android (the "app") and this website. Mirrimoo is made by SaveMate LLC ("we", "us"). The app is designed for babies and young children, used with a parent or caregiver.
Information we collect
None. The app has no accounts or sign-in, and it doesn't ask for a name, email address, birthday, location, contacts or any other personal information. We don't collect personal information from children, as defined by the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), or from anyone else.
The camera
Mirrimoo uses the front camera to show your child their own reflection, like a mirror. On iPhone, the app also finds where a face is in the picture so it can place a cartoon party hat on your child's head. This happens on the device, while the app is open. The app:
- never takes photos or records video or audio;
- never saves camera images, in the app or in your photo library;
- never sends camera images or face information anywhere;
- doesn't use face information to identify anyone.
The app asks for permission to use the camera the first time you start playing. If you say no, a friendly cartoon face appears instead and the app still works. You can change this at any time in your phone's Settings.
Information stored on your device
The app remembers two settings on your device only: whether sound is on, and whether you've seen the tip about locking the phone to the app. These never leave the device, and deleting the app removes them.
No internet, ads or third parties
The app contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, no analytics or tracking, and no third-party software development kits (SDKs). It doesn't connect to the internet, so we receive nothing from it. We don't sell or share information, because we don't have any.
Parental controls
The play screen has no buttons. Settings, and the only link that leaves the app (to your phone's Settings), are behind a parent gate: press and hold the top-left corner for three seconds, then answer a question meant for adults.
This website
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking, and it doesn't load anything from other companies. Like any website, our hosting provider may briefly keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the site running and secure. We don't use them to identify visitors.
Emailing us
If you email us, we'll use your email address and message only to reply to you. We'll delete them when they're no longer needed. Please don't send us information about your child.
Your choices
Because we don't collect personal information, there's nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you have questions, or believe information was shared with us by mistake, contact us and we'll help.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If we ever wanted to collect any information, we would update the app and this policy first, and we would get a parent's consent where the law requires it.
